Barcelona are to be the first sports organisation to join Facebook's new Fan Subscription service
The subscription service operates on a monthly payment basis and offers exclusive club content which can be shared on Facebook walls and access to exclusive Facebook groups for Barcelona fans.
Fans who sign up will be able to join Watch Parties and Facebook Live sessions presented by Barcelona and receive discounts on club merchandise and on-demand video products. They can also display the official club badge alongside their Facebook accounts.
Barcelona said it has been chosen to partner with Facebook to develop the new concept due to its innovative digital strategy, along with what the club claims is a worldwide fan base of more than 340million supporters.
Fans will be able to subscribe to the service via Barcelona's official Facebook page.
The Barcelona's Facebook page will also feature a For Supporters tab, where users can find all of this content, and receive notifications when the club publishes exclusive content.
